The CIELO family’s winemaking journey begun in 1908 when Giovanni CIELO acquired an estate in Veneto, nestled between Vicenza and Verona at the foothills of the Dolomites. Initially, the estate supported cattle, silkworms, and small-scale winemaking for the local community. With a spring-fed well and views of the historic Castles of Romeo and Juliet, immortalized in a 1533 novel by Court da Porto, the estate blends romance and history, enriching the CIELO family’s deep connection to Vento and its winemaking heritage.
